A very small, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip Portland Vase. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. It is also marked with the letters “Y” and “H”. It is unusual to find Portland Vases in such small sizes and this is a lovely example. It is decorated, in white relief, with the usual figures found on the Portland Vase which were taken from the original, Barberini Vase which was Roman glass. This example is in excellent condition. The relief is all very good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue.
Dimensions: Height 10.3cm. Diameter 7.2cm. Width 8cm.
