A 19th century, wooden gesso or sugar mould. This is carved, in walnut, with a leafy border which would work particularly well on picture frames. It dates from c.1860. There is some staining to the wood but otherwise it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Length 31.5cm. Width 4.8cm. Depth 1.6cm.
