Item Details

An eighteenth century Wedgwood black basalt intaglio or seal. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1790. The design shows a young male figure, possibly a shepherd, sitting beneath a tree with his dog. It is exceptionally finely modelled and it is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Length 4.4cm. Width 3.8cm. Depth 0.25cm.
