https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesAn early 19th century, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip cache pot. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1820. It is also impressed with the letters “RR” , which would be a workman’s mark, and a small curved mark which is known as the moustache mark. There is a hole in the base to allow the water to drain from the plant, so originally it would have had a matching saucer but this is missing. The pot is engine turned with reeded banding, and it is also decorated, in white relief, with a band of grapes and vines. The reliefs are very good quality and the piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 9.7cm. Diameter 13.1cm.
