Item Details

A small, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip, tapered cup. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD ETRURIA ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1895. The Etruria England mark was only used for about five years around this date. The cup is decorated, in white relief, with a band of classical maidens and cherubs standing between trees and foliage. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue. There is a mark on the rim, from the manufacture, where the dip glaze has not covered fully, but the cup is in excellent condition.
