Item Details

A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip cylindrical box and cover. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. The box is decorated, in white relief, with a band of classical maidens and cherubs standing between trees and foliage. The lid has a wide band of acanthus leaves and a border or acorns and oak leaves. There is a piece of the relief missing from one of the female figures, which can be seen in the first image, but otherwise the piece is in good condition.
