Item Description
A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip vase. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1880. It is also impressed with a number ‘8’, which relates to the height in inches, and an ‘X’. The vase is decorated with two reliefs showing Venus and Cupid. To the rim is an attractive band of acanthus leaves and to the centre of the vase is a band of laurel leaves and berries. The reliefs are all good quality, the jasper dip is a good, rich shade of blue and the piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 7.5cm. Height 20cm.
