It is also impressed with a number ”30”, which would be the batch number, and a letter “T”, which is the workman’s mark. This dark shade of green is known as Dysart green after the Earl of Dysart for whom it was first developed. Due to problems in the production, with the deep green matt glaze bleeding into the white relief, it was only produced from 1906 to 1912. The jug is decorated with a continuous band of classical figures offering sacrifices and to the rim is a border of grapes and vines. The reliefs are good quality and the piece is in excellent condition.
