It is also impressed with a small, workman’s mark. This shape of teapot was catalogued by Wedgwood, in the 19th century, as the “Etruscan” shape. The body of the pot is decorated, in white relief, with a continuous band of classical figures, trees and foliage, and the lid has a border of stylised leaves. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a very deep shade of blue. The piece is in excellent condition.
