Item Description
A Wedgwood, pale green, jasper dip, cup and saucer. Both the cup and saucer are marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and they date from c.1920. They are also both marked with an impressed letter “J”. The cup has a twisted handle and is decorated, in white relief, with a continuous band of classical figures between trees and foliage and the saucer is decorated in a similar manner. The reliefs are good quality but one of the figures on the saucer has lost her head. This appears to have happened in the manufacture as there is no evidence that it was ever there. Otherwise the piece is in good condition.
Dimensions: Diameter of saucer 13.7cm. Height of cup and saucer together 5.8cm.
