Item Description
A large, Wedgwood dark blue jasper spill vase. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c 1900. It also has some impressed workman’s tool marks. It is decorated, in white relief, with a band of flowers and foliage which is known as the “Harebell and Acanthus” pattern. To the rim is a border of classical scrolls and flowers and beneath this are garlands of flowers hanging from ram’s heads. The reliefs are all very good quality and the jasper dip is a good, rich shade of blue. The vase is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 26cm. Diameter 8.9cm.
