Item Description
A super quality, Wedgwood, pale blue jasper dip pastille burner on tripod feet. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. For a piece from this period it is exceptional quality. The bowl of the pastille burner stands on three slender legs. The bowl is decorated, in white relief, with the harebell and acanthus pattern and, above this, are various classical borders. To the tops of the legs are lion masks and, from these, very fine bands of relief extend to large acanthus leaves at the base. All of the reliefs are very fine and the piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 19cm. Width across foot 12.8cm.
