Item Details

A lovely quality, sycamore breadboard deeply carved with flowers and leaves. This is English and it dates from c.1870. It is very well carved and the carving has good depth and detail. There is slight wear to the carving, giving character. There are knife marks to both the face and the reverse of the board, from use, and a hanging loop has been attached to the back. This does not affect the ability for the board to lay flat for use. The wood has a lovely, pale patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 30cm. Depth 2.2cm.
