Item Details

A late 19th century, sycamore butter roller. This would have been used for impressing a design around the edge of a block of butter. It is English and it dates from c.1890. It is very well carved with a thistle, flowers and foliage and there is good depth and detail to the design. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Length 16.2cm. Width 4.2cm. Diameter of wheel 5cm.
