Item Description
A large, 19th century, wooden butter mould carved with a heart. This is carved in beechwood and dates from c.1860. The carving is naive in style but it is quite deep so it would turn out well. It is probably French and is similar in use to our English butter ejector prints but the print is loose in the form rather than fixed, which does make it easier for cleaning. There are a few wood worm holes but other than that it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Print: Diameter 11.5cm. Length 13.5cm. Form: Diameter 16cm. Depth 7.5cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
