Item Details

An unusual, two part wooden butter mould to turn out a three dimensional sheep or lamb. This is quite naively carved in beechwood and it dates from c.1880. Although there is good depth to the carving the crazy looking sheep is really stylised. The mould is in excellent condition and still has its original wooden pegs to hold it together.
Dimensions: Length 12cm. Width 5.8cm. Height 8.4cm.
