Item Details

A handsome French oak chest, with twelve drawers, and retaining some lovely worn labels, describing colours. A lovely honest piece, probably from an old shop, with nice circular recesses and iron handles to the centres. Sensitively restored to preserve the working character, and now in lovely condition with wear consistent with age. All the drawers run well, with dovetailed joints, and the interiors are clean. The sides are quite rustic and pleasing, and the back still has the original boards. A lovely piece for a studio perhaps, or of course in a retail situation. The internal measurements of the drawers are H: 10cm x W: 87cm x D: 40cm, and dimensions for the piece are below.

H: 183cm x W: 101cm x D: 46cm
