Item Details

An absolutely stunning C19th French crown which would have been made to adorn a Santos which were devotional statues of saints or the Virgin Mary. The decorative details of flowers and foliage echo the ecclesiastical candelabra that were often found in French chapels and the mirroring of these motifs makes this example quite unusual. Originally there would have been paste jewels or cabochons within some of the flowers but these are no longer there.

In lovely antique condition.
