These old French agricultural plaques are always interesting & decorative - they do come older but this one is such a great shape and colour! Awarded in 1976 (which is scarily 50 years ago!) in the Butchers Shop Animal Competition of the town of L'Aigle, the recipient won 3rd prize in the Calf category. Made from painted zinc, this has weathered beautifully and would make a wonderful decorative piece in the kitchen!
