This sweet little box was originally designed to store cigarettes but now they're much more useful as jewellery or cufflink boxes, or even just as decorative items in their own right. Cedar lined, this is covered in 800 grade silver (commonly used on the continent) and the hallmarks identify this as German. In good condition - there are two tiny dents (shown in the last two pictures) otherwise this is a handsome, clean piece and would make a wonderful gift.
