One of the prettiest mirrors we've ever had and with a landscape orientation which is unbelievably hard to find! Painted in a soft pale grey with white detailing, this is an ornate and highly decorative example dating from the late 1800's. Whilst we were working on it, we had to take the back off briefly and lining between the board and the original plate was pages of the Financial Post from 1895 (which we've carefully left!)


Decorated with swagging floral garlands and a beautiful bow crest, the detail of this decoration is outstanding with deeply carved flowerrs and leaves - it's a very good quality example. The original mirror plate is in excellent condition - a small amount of the garland in the corners has had some damage as shown in the photos but nothing that detracts from a very special piece.
