One of the nicest French footstools we've had for a while - the proportions and elegance of the legs really marks this out as a lovely example. The turned legs have their original ebonised paint and castors and the stool itself is well stuffed and sprung with the webbing in excellent condition.


There are three concave sides and one straight side so would sit well against the seat of an armchair creating a wonderfully comfortable pairing; otherwise it can be used for occasional seating or even with a tray as a centre table - this has been stripped back to the under-layer ready for recovering. C19th - c.1880.
