This is a rare and rather wonderful C19th letter clip by J&E Ratcliffe who were a highly regarded designer and manufacturer of desk accessories in Birmingham between 1839 - 1881. Their most common design was the ladies hand clip but this example is of a bunch of grapes on a leaf which is a sought after model and would make a wonderful gift for the oenophile or collector of antique rarities!
