Art Deco Oak Dining Table and Four Chairs Gomme C1930


Likely mid 1930s and very likely by Gomme - no labels but we have sold very similar before and the pieces are number stamped, a known habit of Gomme.


A great set - the four chairs are in fine order with an attractive raised motif to the back, well angled front legs, a good wide seat with arched sides making them a little more attractive and more comfortable. The drop in seats are neat, plump with little wear in a light stone coloured fabric and very usable. If you require new seats our upholsterer would charge £210.00 plus VAT and you would require 2-3 metres of fabric. The table sits well with extendable, matching leaves, underneath the attractive two toned oak top. The top is in fine order with little wear as are the extra leaves. Expect a little wear to the base but the table and chairs sit solid and firm. The table top will separate from the base for easier placing.
