Attractive 1930s Oak Glazed Bookcase Cabinet

So very attractive and possessing sensible dimensions, this one dates from the early 1930s and survives in fine order being a little different from the norm. We would assume a commissioned piece with its rather charming drop pressed handles, good tone of oak and beading (egg and dart patterned) to the drawers and doors.

This one has a little whiff of Arts & Crafts and is unfussy in looks giving it the opportunity to be placed in most homes and commercial spaces with ease. We have two deep drawers with a glazed bookcase topping this and a useful panelled two door cupboard, with a single shelf, below. A good looking piece whichever way you  care to view it…

Workshop report – The cabinet/bookcase sits in well cared for condition with no splits or cracks. All of those gorgeous iron handles are in place with the drawers running smoothly. The original glass is repair and crack free and the three oak fronted shelves are fixed. We have ensured the piece is ready to place, clean, drawers waxed. The cabinet splits in two for easy movement.
