Mid Century Younger Dining Table and 6 Chairs New Upholstery A lovely example from the Volnay range. A long dining table and 6 matching dining chairs designed by John J.Herbert for A.Younger Ltd c.1960 with solid Afromosia frames. The dining chairs have been newly, professionally reupholstered in a black boucle fabric which works very well with the set. A.Younger believed in quality not quantity preferring to keep the production numbers low and enjoyed a loyal following during the 60s and 70s. Both the chairs and the table have an attractive shape and gentle hints of the era in their design. The set survives in fine order having one previous owner and the Afromosia is still deep and intense in colour. As mentioned the seats are newly upholstered and we have lightly repolished the solid frames on the chairs to enhance the dense grain. The solid table also survives in fine order with gentle wear with only the odd mark or two but nothing nasty. A set from A.Younger ready to place.
