Handsome 1930s Vintage Oak 5 Drawer Bureau A handsome looking piece of early 1930s oak furniture in very nice order after a day in our workshop. This one, unlike bureaus of a similar era, possesses the ever so useful flight of 5 drawers which sits underneath the pull down writing desk. This one is of good quality with a pleasing grain and tone to the oak and those pad feet elevating the look. Workshop report – As mentioned this one has enjoyed some time in our workshop with a full re- polish to enhance the grain and colour of the oak. The drawers are running as they should and are neat and tidy and with the original Art Deco vented oak handles in place. The drop down closes level and straight and opens by way of a little period Bakelite knob. We have a few historic ink stains to the insides but nothing nasty. In all a very attractive and good quality piece of 1930s furniture ready to place.
