Splendid Rare Little Oak Art Deco 2 Drawer Desk Console C1930
This is an impressively designed Art Deco piece, likely early Gomme or Gillows, quite rare, we do not have a makers mark however there is a design number stamped to the rear and drawers.
We were very fortunate to have found one last year and we have to say this one is a little lighter in tone. It's totally Deco - the ball feet, the impressive curved oak bentwood legs, little original chrome stepped handles to the two drawers, flower motifs to the leg fronts and the shaped top. Very decorative with the whole piece working tremendously.
Condition is good. We have carefully repolished the piece in the workshop and it's looking rather handsome, expect little historic wear but nothing nasty or off putting. Ready for placing.
A seldom seen Art Deco piece of smaller proportions English oak C1930s, likely Gomme.
