https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/branching-out-antiquesAn 18th Century neoclassical stipple engraving, in sepia, created by the renowned Italian printmaker Francesco Bartolozzi (1727-1815)
The engraving utilises a classical Renaissance and Baroque motif of putti (cherubs) to playfully represent the liberal arts and manual disciplines: sculpture, painting, architecture.
A wonderful and collectable example of Neoclassical decorative printmaking, not to mention some handsome looking cupids!
Width 40cm. Height 19cm
