This large Georgian oil painting captures a pastoral moment of cattle gathered around a stream of water. Its 18th century style will bring an unique charm to any home.

Subject charming beautiful animal study of a group of cattle gathered watering on a rolling landscape with country farm buildings in the background and trees to the right with other cattle in resting in places on the bank by the river.

Oil on canvas.

The painting is not signed but this is typical for this type of work from this relatively early period.

Front painting surface having various craquelure, paint loss, foxing stains in places also the canvas has been relined. Oak frame has general wear, scuffs, small chips, repairs commensurate with usage & old age. The back will need to be repositioned as its slightly come out of place.
