Victorian sovereign scales, I find these little things amazing! They have a crown duty stamp embossed into them and the makers name Harrison. These would be carried in a gentleman’s pocket ,he would be able to weigh a gold sovereign to ensure it was genuine. It has its original card box.c1850.
Condition : there is some wear to the edges of the coin holders but still operate well.
