Item Details

A good size mahogany writing base with brass corners and a brass cartouche to the lid. The side have two inverted brass carrying handles. This style of box was often used by officers as a campaign box. It has an interesting addition to the inside, with a tambour design sliding lid to hold pens and pencils and another sliding lid to cover the glass inkwell.


 


Condition is generally good with a couple of minor marks to the lid.
