Pteridomania or " fern fever " was a Victorian craze for ferns. Decorative arts of the period presented the fern motif in pottery, glass, metal, textiles and wood, with ferns appearing on everything.

This is a fine fern engraved Bon-Bon dish on a pedestal base.

Condition is very good.
