Item Details

A beautiful little framed drawing of a 1930s racing car by F W Beak. This pen & ink drawing is on paper, and is framed in a simple black wooden frame. It shows a determined looking driver and his co-driver speeding along in a typical racing or speedway car of the day. It is signed by Beak.

Information about F W Beak is scant. He was a commercial artist who specialised in producing images of motor cars, and he seems to have been most active during the late 1930s and 1940s. He produced art work for 'The Autocar' magazine, specialising in cutaway images showing car engines.

This attractive piece of automobilia is in excellent condition. It has loops attached to the back and is ready to hang.
