A very high quality piece of furniture, believed to have been purchased from Harrods London in the early 1980s, this is a high-end designer piece, our research suggests that it may be a De Sede 470 design, the quality, design and functionally of the piece certainly points to a high end-maker but there are no makers marks present.
The piece has great from and functionality, with numerous seating positions with both seats moving independent of each other. In its two seater configuration, the sofa has a low back with two arm rests and sits on a heavy steel frame with chrome spider legs. The sides extend on chrome bars allowing the armrests to drop flat to create a left or right handed day bed. The back has a reclining motion with extending back/head rest, both seats also swivel to give a reclining back with footrest position – a perfect place to relax for that movie night-in!
The piece has been re-upholstered in an Olive green soft felt like material which gives the piece a lovely soft feel and contrasts nicely against the black/chrome frame.
An exceptional piece, very well engineered and certainly made to last, of the very highest quality. The item is in excellent condition and ready for installation.
