A beautiful large sandstone garden bench seat constructed from reclaimed sandstone, dating to circa 1860. The large 5ft long sandstone has a wonderful character with dressed chisel edge on one side and a roughly cut edge the other. The large sandstone flag sits on two short pillars which feature the original Stonemason’s chisel marks that shaped these over a 160 years ago. The sandstone is naturally weathered to a lovey patina and would fit into an established garden or provide age to a newly formed garden. The piece is free standing but due to the size and weight of this item, this will need to be professionally installed by a Landscape Gardener or Builder using mortar to securely fix the pieces in place and an adequate foundation to hold the weight. Please note that the overall height of 60cm (23.5″) is the maximin height, the finished installed height could be lowered to allow the sandstone to be bedded into the ground.
