Item Description
An original rustic pine West Country high back box settle, has a lovely worn dry pine finish. Dating to circa 1900, this original example has a panelled back with two inset panels under the seat. Has a really nice form with curved ends. A good size but not too big, will seat 2-3 people. The seat has a lift up lid with useful storage underneath. Seat Height = 53cm / 21″ The piece is in very good sound condition, has some historic repairs but all in-keeping with the originality of the item. The dry pine finish is original and has a warm tone with lots of wear and character.
