Item Description
A lovely weathered Garden statue of the Bather (also called Venus). Made of reconstituted cast stone, the figure is of good form and colour. The figure is standing, semi-naked with her left foot resting on a rock. her right foot dipping into water and her hair, tied with foliate garland, falling about her shoulders. Made after the 18th Century model by Christopher-Gabriel Allegrain, this mid 20th Century reconstituted cast model is of good size (3ft in Height) and has benefitted from years of exposure to the weather, giving it a beautiful aged patina. A great addition to any outside Garden feature or Garden room. The piece is in good sound condition and is free from damage or repairs, the piece has naturally weathered as seen in photos.
