Item Details

This is a pretty antique French cherry wood butter press. When people made and shaped their own butter a press was essential kitchen kit. To decorate the butter, pictures were carved into the base and in this case a pretty floral and leaf design. Once the butter was ready, a hook catch easily releases the sides of the press. This will make a lovely decorative item in any kitchen interior.
