Item Details

A very finely cast brass/bronze Regency period lamp with excellent original bronze patination and gilt finish. This beauty sports an urn candle socket above a tapered reeded column and tri paw footed base all richly adorned with acanthus and supported on a concave sided plinth with gilt lambs tongue moulding. A good job has been made of electrifying this in the past with a wooden insert to the base. I have added a new quality fabric to the bottom. Rewired with 3m fabric flex and a traditional plug. Dimensions in inches/cms; 17.25"/43.5cm tall (14"/35.5cm to top of urn). 6.25"/15cm base diameter. 1.9kg.
