A rare Hermes silk chiffon mousseline L'Art D'Ecrire scarf, designed by Maurice Tranchant. 


The design, based on engravings from the Encyclopédie Diderot & d’Alembert, was first issued in 1956 and re-issued in 1998 and 2005. This is the silk chiffon (mousseline) version


In a buff, parchment colour printed in black and with a black border and rolled edges. In good, clean condition. The 'silk' label was removed by the original owner.
