Item Description
This late Victorian / Edwardian display of pearl growth and colours is one of those simple, curious things that's just a joy to look at / own.
A wonderfully rare survivor - it has been very carefully, very patiently created with the stages of growth from one month through to three years old beautifully displayed alongside a spectrum of pearl colours. The delicate shells are carefully set in place on a cotton(?) backing with charming, hand written paper labels.
It measures 47.5cm wide x 38cm high x 4cm deep
