A stunning piece of history, this original 1969 poster is advertising a special edition of the Evening Standard commemorating Apollo 11 and Neil Armstrong’s moonwalk. The graphics on this poster are truly sublime. Vibrant and punchy - a truly great piece of design work for a momentous occasion in history. It's a rare poster - I've not encountered another of this design before. It's survived the decades well, the very upper right corner is missing, there are faint traces of a horizontal foldline and a few light scratches but generally this would have to be considered a good example. It's been professionally framed with a floating mount, in a dark blue frame with non-reflective 'gallery' glass - it displays beautifully and is ready to hang. Including the frame, the poster measures 89.5cm high x 64.5cm wide x 3cm deep.
