Item Details

This fan-shaped showcard / counter sign for Invicta Hosiery features some wonderfully Art Deco graphics alongside the equally of-the-period orange and brown colour way.

There's not much reference to Invicta Hosiery as a manufacturers but I would assume, from the Invicta horse logo that the company was based in Kent, England and probably operated around the 1930s/'40s.

I've never encountered this showcard or any other advertising for the company before now and would assume that if there are any other surviving examples that they'll be few and far between.

This example is in good order with the exception of some water-damage / paper loss in the upper right corner. Aside from this it's in decent order with strong colours.

It stands 34cm high x 58cm wide x 0.5cm deep.
