The Kimball Knights are the sports team of Justin F. Kimball High School - a public secondary school in Dallas, Texas. 


 


This giant sized loudhailer / megaphone is everything you'd expect from a piece of vintage Americana - it's big and it's bold. Kimball High was founded in 1958 and this piece, although a little hard to date, is probably from the 1970s/'80s. It's made from printed / painted hardboard with a riveted seam and metal end-caps / handle. 


 


It's survived the decades and it's journey to the UK in good order with a little corrosion to the metal components and the odd scuff / scrape. A real statement peice that can be hung or stood on it's end, it measures 1m in length, the wide end is 37cm in diameter and the mouthpiede is 6cm.
