This vibrant 1930s Craven "A" Cigarettes enamel sign is a flashback to a different era, before designated smoking areas and warning labels on cigarette packets... With hindsight - 'will not affect your throat' is probably a very misguided claim but it is an interesting reflection on how society, behaviours etc can change.

This is a nice, large (1.23m wide) banner sign that has survived the decades in good order. The colours remain punchy and it retains a decent surface gloss. There is some surface scratching and some patches of enamel loss, but nothing that detracts from the impact or legibility of the piece. It sits straight (surprisingly so for a long enamel like this) and can be hung using the original mounting holes.
