https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/ljw-antiquesA rare survivor - this original bicycle shop poster for Raleigh's "precision tested spares" features some wonderfully detailed imagery of all of the available components within a bicycle wheel.
An offset lithograph print by J. Howitt & Son Ltd, Nottingham (UK) likely to date to the 1940s/'50s.
The poster has survived the decades in decent order with minimal fading. The poster would have been sent to shops folded and these fold lines remain visible, though they aren't obtrusive. The only notable damage is to the upper right corner, where there are some slight losses to the paper.
This piece was bought framed; it's a good quality and professional job, though the frame has suffered some slight knocks, scuffs and light scratches overtime - hardly noticeable but worth pointing out.
Including the frame the poster measures 77cm high x 53cm wide.
