The sign is likely to date to the 1930s / early '40s and has survived the decades in excellent order with vibrant colours and a great surface gloss. There are a few small areas of surface corrosion but the sign displays very well. With no enamel loss around the original mounting holes (upper edge) I would speculate that the sign was never hung and that the surface corrosion may have occurred in storage (damp basement / similar?).
An unusual example, well sized to fill a gap in a displayed collection, the sign measures 46cm wide x 36cm high.
