A wonderfully vibrant piece of vintage advertising, this Pernod poster combines bright colours with strong graphics... Pernod Ricard is a French company that's renowned for their anise-flavoured pastes aperitifs - Pernod Anise and Ricard Pastis.
This poster dates to the late '60s / early '70s and came from a small collection of the company's promotional material that was kept by a sales rep from the period. A life spent safely stored away has kept it in good condition; unfaded and unfolded; just a few small marks and creases.
The punchy design depicts two 'clinking' glasses with the caption 'La Camaraderie (friendship) the French way'. This design was issued with a blank white box in the lower third - to be filled in by the sales reps to promote their events. This example remains blank so was never displayed.
An excellent piece of decoration for a vintage themed kitchen, cafe, bar or pub the poster has been professionally framed and is ready to hang.
Including the frame it measures 79.5cm high x 54.5cm wide and is around 2.5cm deep.
