Item Details

Having become a major sponsor of motorcycle racing, the Pernod aperitif company decided at the beginning of 1981 to finance a 100 percent "made in France" racing bike. The result was this - the Pernod 250, a 250cc water-cooled two stroke twin with rotary intake valves. This 65 hp racer looked highly competitive, but its first outings during 1981 were shortened by repeated seizures. By 1982, the Pernod was running reliably, after a disappointing start to its career, the Pernod 250 won its first, but only, Grand Prix in 1983.

This poster dates to the early 1980s when this motorcycle was competing... It comes from a small collection of the company's promotional material that was stored, rather than distributed. A life spent safely stored away has kept it in fantastic condition; unfaded and without creases.

An excellent piece of vintage decoration, the poster has been professionally framed and is ready to hang.

Including the frame it measures 83cm wide x 52.5cm high x 1.5cm deep.
